July Experience students choose from a wide variety of recreational and social activities on campus. Campus sports facilities including pool, fitness center, basketball and tennis courts, and lakefront are available to participants. Water-skiing, team games, tournaments, dances and talent shows are organized by the Davidson College students who serve as Hall Counselors. Off-campus trips to cinemas, cultural events and museums are organized as available.
Of special note are these co-curricular activities: Understanding the College Admission Process: Davidson College Admissions officers meet with July Experience participants to help them understand the general college admission process and financial aid. Developing Your Leadership Style: Leaders come in all styles and personalities. By participating in a half-day Davidson College Challenge Course, students: * Get to know one another better * Increase trust * Identify skills of members of the group * Develop an approach to problem solving * Expand communication skills * Improve creative thinking
