ITS Help Desk

ITS (Information Technology Services) maintains the college's computers, data, telephone and cable networks, the main administrative and academic systems and public computing labs. ITS supports and assists students, faculty and staff who use Davidson College's networks and systems.

Visit User Services Building (213 N. Main St.)  
Business Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

To expedite your request, please be ready to provide:
A description of your request or problem.
Any error messages encountered.
Inventory tag number of your Davidson College computer.


ResNet (Residential Networking) - Students
In addition to daytime assistance from the ITS Help Desk, personal computer support is available to students during evening hours.

Contact our ResNet student staff for:
• Assistance in connecting your computer to the campus network.
• Help with software downloads.
• Virus and malware removal.
• General troubleshooting services.

Email ResNet resnet@davidson.edu with problem details.
Call extension 2900, option 1 (ITS Help Desk) during the day with personal account problems, administrative and academic system questions.
Call extension 2900, option 2 to speak with a ResNet student staff or to leave a message.
Visit Tomlinson Residence Hall (second floor) for drop-in assistance.
Hours: Sunday - Thursday 7:00 -11:00 pm  (While classes are in session.)

Does it Work with Snow Leopard? There's an App for that!
Snow Leopard - aka Mac OS X 10.6 - is in the Davidson testing pipe. That's good news, but it's also a warning: If you use non-standard software that isn't provided or supported by ITS, you should be checking now to make sure it's compatible with 10.6.
