Information Technology Services (ITS) is responsible for providing and supporting all aspects of campus computing and telecommunications services. ITS’ mission is to work in collaboration with members of the Davidson community to facilitate the use of current and emerging information technology resources. The Davidson community served by ITS includes faculty, staff, students, alumni, parents, prospective students, retired faculty, trustees, vendors, contractors, and all other individuals and organizations that interact with the College. These individuals and organizations are provided with varying levels of access to computing infrastructure and services.
The range of systems and services provided include those that support and enrich teaching, learning, research and administration. The systems and services touch virtually every aspect of campus life and are central to the academic enterprise as well as administrative processes.

The Road to Banner 8 Most of you will have heard by this time that we are doing a major upgrade this year of our Banner system, the College's core administrative information system. We will be upgrading from Banner 7, the version we are currently running, to Banner 8, the latest version available. |
Stalking the Big Cat: Snow Leopard Update It's been a while since we've given you any updates on our progress with Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6). To be honest, that's because it's been a while since there's been any progress to report. The project stalled over a bug discovered in late November, but a recent fix has put us back on the road to deployment. |
Get smart about smartphones They're everywhere, aren't they? iPhones, Droids, Blackberries and their various siblings that fall under the general rubric of "smartphones." This new-ish line of gadgetry is so popular, there's even argument about what to call them, since what they really are is handheld computers that happen to make phone calls. |
