One sentence description of project: Exploring what it means to "die well" by comparing end-of-life care-- values and practices-- in Ecuador adn the United States, in order to assess and critique the cultural competency of the dominant model of hospice and pallative care.

The Dean Rusk Program staff retains the authority to determine the sum of such a reimbursement. This does not apply to cases in which early termination results from developments beyond the grant recipient’s control.

This project will run 6 weeks, from the end of June (27th) to mid-August (15th)

Yes-- I lived in Cambridge, England (1999-2003); travelled independently in England, France Switzerland, and Italy (July 2009); studied in Athens, Greece (Aug-Dec 2009).

What effect would a lack of a Dean Rusk grant or an amoung less than requested have on your travel plans?
Significant effect.
