Want to understand religious diversity? Interested in economic development? Fascinated by the Middle East or Asia? Hoping to work as a medical volunteer abroad? The Dean Rusk Program can help!
Every year the Dean Rusk International Studies Program awards grants for study, research, service, and experiential learning abroad. This is done twice each year: once in the fall for project that will take place over winter break or the spring semester, and once in the spring, for summer, fall and year-long projects. Grant Amounts vary considerably. The average award is around $800 but grants have ranged from $100 to $5000. Grant funds come from a variety of sources, some of which are for general distribution and some of which are earmarked for study in a particular region or field. Please click on the links below to find out more! Grant Applications are due on October 26, 2007 for trips during winter break and the spring semester and February 28, 2008 for trips during the summer or fall. No late applications will be accepted! Please turn in your applications to the Dean Rusk Office in Duke Residence Hall #125 or if you are abroad you can email them to the Assistant to the Director.
