All students must complete general requirements in Composition, Cultural Diversity, Foreign Language, Physical Education, and courses distributed in prescribed ways among the areas of the curriculum.   (Ten courses in distribution for students entering before 2012; eight courses in distribution for students entering in 2012 and later.)  Just to be clear: Distribution requirements (note there are two different sets listed below) are the only ones in which there is a difference between the class of '16 (entering August 2012) and earlier classes. Such requirements support Davidson's Statement of Purpose as expressed by the College's Purpose of Graduation Requirements document.
