DBAN Ballot FAQs

For what offices am I voting?
You will be electing fellow alumni to serve as officers of the Davidson Black Alumni Network (DBAN). In 2013 ONLY you will be electing all three officers: two co-chairs and one vice-chair. The idea is to establish a co-chairperson leadership structure with a built-in succession strategy via a vice-chair. In future years, the election will only be for a new vice-chair. For this year only, one person will serve as co-chair for one year, thus leaving a vacancy for the vice-chair next year.

What does DBAN do?
The mission of DBAN is to promote the interests of Davidson College black alumni through special events and programming that reflect their needs and interests; by building relationships between alumni and students; and by advancing and fostering the welfare and interests of Davidson's students and alumni.

Why does my vote matter?
It means that you're involved in the decisions that affect the life of the college and the experiences of both current students and fellow alumni. You join a collective voice helping to shape the future of Davidson.
