Multicultural Ambassadors Program

The Multicultural Ambassadors Program [MAP] provides several leadership opportunities for Davidson College students dedicated to creating a culturally inclusive campus. Opportunities include becoming a peer educator, developing and promoting Multicultural House-sponsored initiatives, and serving on a student advisory board that provides important campus climate feedback to administration.

The goal of MAP is that all participants develop skills essential to leading difficult conversations on race, ethnicity and gender while also serving as peer educators and campus leaders.

Learning Modules

Each month MAP members will engage in unique sessions designed to develop vital skills in the areas of critical multicultural competency, cross-cultural communication and social justice leadership. Each learning module focuses on a specific monthly theme while incorporating sequential objectives to strengthen learning.

Retreat

Throughout the year, MAP participants will have opportunities to explore surrounding communities for a more immersive journey through diversity and inclusion. Students will explore museums, historical sites and interact with community members that have a vast knowledge of the unique region's history.
