That Moniker
"The funny thing is that my first name is Portuguese and my last is Polish, but I'm neither! My mother is 100 percent Irish; she was adopted in the U.S. by my grandparents, first-generation Hungarian and Polish immigrants. That's where I get my last name."

Leadership and Service
Serving in the SGA has allowed her to work with peers, as well as with members of the faculty and administration. "Those experiences have helped me view Davidson more from a long-term institutional point of view. I am just as invested in Davidson's future as Davidson is invested in mine. When you come to a place like Davidson that gives so much to you, you have to find your way to give back, and for me, student government is a great way to do that."

Alpha Kappa Alpha
She is a charter member of Davidson's historically black sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha. "Coming from an all-girls school, sisterhood was something that I valued greatly, but I never imagined that I would find it in the way that I did through AKA."

A Day at the Lake
"A perfect day for me is spent at the Lake Campus! Whether I'm with a group of students canoeing and doing flips on the dock, or doing some reading alone, the Lake Campus is a great place to unwind."

Productive Summers
The summer after sophomore year, Zwieryznski participated in the Davidson in Washington program and interned at a law firm. An Atlanta management-consulting firm where she worked the summer before senior year has already offered her a job after graduation.

Life Lessons
"Davidson has taught me to ask questions, to be aware of myself and my surroundings, and to ask how I can bring about change; that has shaped me here and will continue to shape me for the rest of my life. The love that people have for Davidson is so obvious and so clear, it just draws you in. It's more than a campus; it's a place you really can call home for four years."
