Chaplain's Office

Image: drawing of people worshipingThe Chaplaincy exists to address a broad range of spiritual needs and to foster all manner of religious expression and inquiry at Davidson College.

Davidson's chaplains serve as pastors to the college community. We are available to people from any faith tradition, or none at all, for pastoral counseling, spiritual direction, and program planning. We also coordinate a variety of activities, including worship services, Bible studies, lecture series, faith-based service opportunities, and interfaith dialogue.

The Chaplain is the college’s liaison for all religious student organizations on campus, each of which is represented on Davidson’s Religious Life Council. Local congregations and national religious organizations also support campus ministers and staff workers who serve as advisors to several of these student organizations.

The Office of the Chaplain is located on the 4th floor of the Alvarez College Union, next to the elevator. This area is shared with the Center for Civic Engagement.
