OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) Upgrade is Available for College Computers
ITS is pleased to make OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion available to College employees' computers. This latest iteration of Apple's operating system offers a new Notifications Center, integration with the iMessage service, Reminders and Notes, tighter integration with iCloud and built-in AirPlay mirroring to Apple TV (among other new and improved features). Upgrades are provided via the Self Service utility. Instructions are located in Answers Online. VMware Fusion users should upgrade to version 5 for Mountain Lion compatibility and as always, if you use nonstandard software, be sure to check with the manufacturer before upgrading to verify compatibility. If you have questions about the upgrade or need help using Self Service, please email the ITS Help Desk.
Wildcat Bytes - Online Store for Used College Computers
The process for buying used computer hardware from the College has changed. Rather than having announced sales once or twice a year, we will now sell used hardware through an online store, Wildcat Bytes. The inventory (Apple and Dell desktops, laptops, monitors and peripherals) will be updated as computer equipment is retired from campus use.
