The Davidson Summer Program at Cambridge
Limited to thirty students, the Davidson Summer Program at Cambridge focuses on the history
and literature of late 18th- and 19th-century Britain. Students may receive credit for either
English 370 or History 390.
All English majors are encouraged to consider participating in the Davidson Summer Program
at Cambridge University during the summer after either their sophomore or junior year.
Students may elect to receive either English or history credit for the summer course, which lasts
from early July to mid-August at Magdalene College, Cambridge University, and focuses
on the history and literature of England during the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries.
Begun in 1428, Magdalene is located in the center of Cambridge by the River Cam.
The 2012 on-site program director is Professor Mike Guasco.
Need-based financial aid is available on a limited basis.
